Physio Chicago

Inspiration: client wanted to see people being active across life stages in Chicago.

This reminded me of George Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, which happens to be in Chicago’s Art Institute.

We worked together to incorporate modern characters and references to the city while keeping some parallels with the original painting.

Hostel CoCo Bongo

Inspiration: client wanted to refresh a hostel bedroom. Based on the room layout, existing art in the building, and foliage right outside the window, I came up with a design that hugs the bed.

The stool we had laying around served as a jumping point that grounded the design and added a 3D, functional element.

Note from the artist: I grew up looking at my mom’s hramota, and it was a major inspiration for me as a child. The first time I was asked to make one in 2022 was the first time anyone in the community had made one since my mom’s. It was an honor to pick it back up and an honor each time to put so much energy into a piece that represents something so momentous for a new couple.
